So, today I got to the church to clean it around 10am. Well, little did I know, at that time many people were there planning for Vacation Bible School. So, instead of cleaning around people, I just decided to hang out until they left. There, there was a five-year-old girl named Kaley who I have in Children’s Church on Sundays, and two teenage girls (thirteen and fourteen, I believe) named Heather and Amber. Well, at one point, the four of us were sitting around talking and somehow we got on the subject of how I was supposed to go on a date tonight. Then, Amber spoke up, just picking on Kaley as grown-ups typically do, and said something about how she had a boyfriend. Then, Kaley said something about “I sent him a card that said ‘I love you.” After that, my memory gets slightly hazy because Amber and I just looked at each other bewildered. It’s funny how children take something like love so lightly, and trust people not to hurt them so easily.
